As part of our dedication, God commands us to renew our minds. Romans 12:2. Just as sin starts in our mind, sanctification starts in your mind… 'as a man thinks, so is he.' Prove 23:7


The discipline of a christian is learn how to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.


2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete.


Our mind is very complex. We may not realize it but we do have sophisticated arguments exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God. We may to see it as pride but that's what it is. Any part of our life that is not aligned with the word of God is being controlled by a thought that is in argument with truth. Because, when you find the truth of God in that specific area, and stand on it, the warfare stops, the argument stops, transformation begins and like a butterfly we find our freedom to fly.


Today, ask the Holy Spirit to show you personally places where you are holding onto something else other than God's truth. Every moment of the day, take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.


Find the truth of God's word that speaks to your situation and meditate on it. Renew your mind. Determine to focus your mind on "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Phillipians 4:9
